1979 seat swap???

Hi guys,

I'm new to the forum. I'm sure the question has been asked, I tried searching but couldn't really find what I was looking for.

I have a 79 gmc with a horrid looking bench seat. I'm wondering if there are any seats that will bolt right in? I would really prefer bucket seats over bench.

I'm just having a very hard time finding a good condition used bench seat for it.

So, what seats have you guys swapped in? What kind of retrofitting was required?

Thanks!

Re: 1979 seat swap???

Dont have pics right now not till tomorrow maybe, when I finish it up.
Used the 2 factory seat bolts in front ran a pieces of 1x1 square tubing, made a bracket to attach To the tahoe seat bracket where it will still fold up forward, the back I just welded the some 'n' shaped metal to the floor so it can hook up
Drivers seat will go forward to but stops at the steering wheel, the passenger seat goes all the way up, gives me room to work on the floor board if needed
