1965 gmc exhaust manifolds

i have a 65 gmc with a 350 mounted in the forward position. we have the trans and custom driveshaft installed. we can not find exhaust manifolds that clear the engine mount brackets. the ram horns with the 45 degree exit look like they would work. the ram horns with the straight exit would hit the cross member. the 1956 chevy manifolds might work. hopefully you guys have an idea. thanks in advance.

Re: 1965 gmc exhaust manifolds

The manifolds that dump straight down are for the '63-'66 trucks with a small block in it's original location. Since you have moved the engine forward, similar to the '67-'72's, you will need to use the manifolds that the '67-'72's use. Those are the ones that are angled towards the rear. Of course this is assuming you used the correct '67-'72 small block motor mount brackets. I don't know if they will work if you have something else in there.

Speedway Motors is a good place to go. If manifolds don't work use headers.
If brackets scare you these are the ones I run.
