PCM mount... - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

Trying to decide where to mount the PCM. With A/C and wiring harness it is tight under the dash.
Thinking under center console ....this will hold some heat being above the tranny tunnel.
How much heat can the PCM take with little or no airflow?

You'll be fine. Unless you think it's going to get a lot hotter in the console than it gets in the engine compartment, I wouldn't worry about it.

mines mounted usign an 03 s10 mount to the driver side fendor

Under the seat on both my ls swapped vehicles. As well as a 1970 k10 I did for a coworker

HERE'S what I did with mine (starting at #1263). It's a little bit overkill but I did it anyway.

Thanks. If nothing else, I wanted to show the real estate I used to mount mine. And the wires on the stock harness are long enough to snake back behind and over the column. Ideally I would have mounted it under the driver's seat or somewhere totally not visible. But I didn't want to lengthen all those wires. good luck.
