Question about transmition
Oa 3 speed manual do I have to have an adapter for a 3 on the tree or will it hook up just fine?

I am looking at purchasing a tranny. It is a floor shifter. Can I just remove the shifter on it and hook up my callom shifter. Will it work or do I have to adapt it?

You will need the shift rods that connect from the column to the transmission. The factory standard trans was the mc318 Muncie 3 speed, non-synchro 1st gear.
I may have an extra set of shift rods....I can look when I get home if you don't have them.

Correct. place the trans in neutral and hook up the rods. Wouldn't hurt to replace whatever shift linkage bushings you can while they are off.

You will probably need the levers also. Most floor shifters come with there own levers.

Well inwet to pull my old tranny out today. Unhooked it from the shift levers, the speedometer cable, and when I went to un hook it from the bell housing it won't come off? The bolts turn for ever but won't come out? What's up! I have had alot of issues with this truck every time I work on it it never goes smooth! What gives?

You will have to remove the inspection pan on the bottom and then you can access the bottom two trans bolts. Why they ever did it like this is beyond me. I have a 65C-10 with a manual 3spd. and the bottom two have the bolt put in from the flywheel side. With the inspection pan removed you should be able to see the head of the bolts. The top bolts should screw into the bell housing and don't have nuts on them. The bottom two have nuts and washers on them.
