BIG Block in 65 C10
Hey guys, Whats it take to install a BBC in a 65 C10? I plan on running power steering, AC and power brakes so I don't want to run short on TQ I am asking because I was told that it's hard to get headers to fit with out cutting the frame and the motor won't fit without some firewall work. I have all of the stuff for a LS swap but, I have a LS3 in a nova. Kinda thinking old school. Thanks

Re: BIG Block in 65 C10
I cut the firewall so I could get the engine back, some just use the forward holes. The stock engine towers don't really work with the BB and all I had to do to get the headers to work was shave the frame maybe an 1/8". I used a grinder even. I have a build thread check it out in my sig.

Re: BIG Block in 65 C10
Stock height valve covers on mine and it sits in stock location. It's tight, but it fits. Had issues getting exhaust to fit around stock engine mounts so we just put in a motor plate. Problem solved. There are headers that will fit around the mounts, but I already had the current headers and was on a very tight budget when I put it in.

Re: BIG Block in 65 C10
Use the 72 chevelle big block header's,they fit nice. May have to go with a tubular trans cross member, other than that plug and play.
