A/C PICKUP vs SUBURBAN

Does anyone know if the factory air in the suburban is bigger then the one in a pickup? Mark

what do you mean bigger? because the dash interior are exactly the same and all the parts, there is however a difference in the compressors...

i meant does it put out more air because of the size of the cab. Like on a house you can get a 2 to , 3 ton, etc.

thats a good question, i really dont know. im adding the original setup to my suburban that came off a 65C10, and looking at the build book it only shows one R6 type compressor for inline6 or V8 and the dash stuff is all the same, at least thats what my yellow build book shows...

Far as I know the heater and A/C is the same...on the burbs there may be more blower vents, but heck.I ain't even seen a A/C 60's chevy truck in person yet! LOL! Only aftermarket which imp is the better way to go.

There all the same. Rear air wasn't a thought until after the 68 model year I believe.

The only reason the old stuff cooled any better is the freon used, R12 back then.
