door window
i have a 64 truck and a 65 truck and the 65 is a custom cab and the door windows have metal trim around the glass why is this ?

I have seen 2. one a 65 gmc, and one is my 64 chev, the build sheet had the laminated side glass (metal rim) as an extra cost option.
why it was ordered I do not know. I had done a post asking about this too, and some guys mentioned that the big trucks -60 series and up- were more likely to still be using the metal trim laminated glass

Now that I think about it, I think one of the trucks we had years ago was like that. I can't remember which one though.
