Exhaust close to brake master cylinder

OK......finishing up my SBC conversion in my stock framed 3600.

Exhaust is about 2" from my master cylinder. Only way to space it further away is to hang it down lower, which I am not willing to do.

Is this something I should worry about?

Should I use some header wrap on it?

My exhaust is about 3" from the master cylinder. I tend to err on the side of caution and wrapped my exhaust pipe. Have had no concerns with the power brake conversion

make a heat shield to deflect the heat just out of some tin and you should be fine curve the tin like half round tack it to couple worm or ring clamps and put it on exhaust pipe if you get what i meen lol

tin only needs to be just off the pipe like a 1/4 inch to deflect the heat

I am in the same boat on the opposite side.......I am about 2" from the starter.

as suggested by 69chevytrucker, a simple heat shield will work for both applications
