1963 Speedometer cable length
I have tried searching but couldn't find a definite answer.
What would the length of the speedometer cable be for a 1963 C10, 2wd, 230 6 cylinder with three speed Saginaw? I have looked in this site as well as Rockauto and have seen lengths that vary - 63", 83", 100". I am thinking 63" based on my rough measurements but if someone knows for sure I would be happy to hear from you. Greg.

Re: 1963 Speedometer cable length
From what I'm reading in the 1968 Chevrolet parts book, "all 1960-1965 3 speed trans used 56 1/8 long cable assembly part number 1564778 ". Hope this helps.

That does help.
I can't find my 1963 parts book. Thanks. Greg.

Re: 1963 Speedometer cable length
I picked up a 63" cable for my truck - that is the correct length.
Greg.
