need a current member of the 6066 GMC forum

Is anyone here a current member, with a usable account over there?

A fellow on a chevy/gmc truck forum was having a registration issue over there... and they/we have not found any contact information outside of the forum itself, which doesn't help if you can not log on.

He is trying to make contact with an administrator with his contact information, email username, so basically he just needs someone to drop a note.

right at the bottom of the page is a link that says, " contact us". that should be able to put them in contact with Jeannie

there is that contact link at the bottom and I doubt that one has to be a member to use it, otherwise how would anyone be able to join.

I was going to give you the raspberries , but I went back there and logged out and when I did that, it disappeared.

The contact link only shows up if you are long in, I just tried it both ways to double check.

Ron,

A person would make contact through their registered account. In the case of the Stovebolt user, using the password recovery system would have been the best way. As a second option, registering with a secondary email address would also work.

When the forum was first opened the Contact Us form was available for everyone, however this resulted in upwards of 1800 emails per day. Sorting through them for legitimate user mail was quite difficult.

I know it's not the response you were wanting, but I hope it explains the situation. Registered users are unfettered in this way, but leaving the site contact form open to the entire internet was just not a feasible option.

They could set up a 'send a message' form with some sorta human recognition thing, most of the forum software supports something along those lines. Like you have to identify a photo or something, to combat spam.

Not my forum tho'.
