is this rust common ???
i have a 83 blazer i plan on restoring just cut some of the carpet out of the back and found the floor rusted out by the tailgate is this common if so any tricks on how to stop it after i put a patch panel in
i was thinking on spraying bed liner maybe after the new steel is in |

Yes it is common, my only real suggestion is to use lots of spray in bedliner after the repair.

i just got this blazer i have a 69 c10 as well but i was wondering how is this rust happening i know from water but where is it comming from and is there a fix for it

It is most likely caused by water and debris getting kicked up from the rear wheels and sitting up in between the floorpan and the rear crossmember. Its not an area that you can clean out real well while washing the truck.
