door outer window felts

on the window outer felt that runs across the top and down the rear of the door.do you glue in the channel? seems it has to to stay in place. what did you use for glue? w/strip? other?

I did not use any glue. They press into place and you can almost feel a slight snap when it is properly seated.

there is nothing on the lower channel to help hold it in. maybe a 61 is different.

I used weather striping adhesive on my 62 down the lower inside channel. Mine also had a tab that the channel slides into. You have to cut to the felt channel to fit so it will slide in. But on the outer part it snapped in place. Do you have original or replacements?

I installed the d/s without glue haven't done the p/s yet. will use some adhesive and compare.
