Static lowering a 63-66 C10 Photos
My 16 year old son is working on a 64-C10 Fleetside Long Bed. He would like to lower it and I was wondering what it will look like to lower it without changing the spindles and notching the frame. We want to replace the springs. If you have done this and have a before and after picture I would appreciate it.
He doesn't have a lot of money so we are on a tight budget. Will lowering the truck make the truck ride rougher? Thank you, Paul and Rob |

28 pages of pics here.

Re: Static lowering a 63-66 C10 Photos
Welcome Paul and Rob! Nice truck and glad to see a young man interested in old iron!
You can do 2" drop springs up front and 3" in back without doing the shocks but, your truck may ride a little rougher, an adjustable panhard bar would be needed also. If he does it like above, he can add drop spindles later and also 1.5" blocks for the rear or change the springs to 4-5" ( you will need the shocks now). then down the road he can put bags in if he wants. Good luck with whatever you choose!

Not sure if it is the angle of the picture but it looks like it may have some drop in it now.

Very unusual license plate, but a very nice truck.
