voltage regulator problem- opinions?
Having an issue with my voltage regulator. Sometimes my truck won't start so I'll have to pop the hood and hit on my voltage regulator a few times then it starts right up. Replaced the regulator with a new, same issue. Opinions? Thanks.

Re: voltage regulator problem- opinions?
Sounds like a wiring problem. Likely have a wire with a break internal but the outer covering is not broken. Had this happen with my '65 C10. Wire looked fine but had an internal break.

Re: voltage regulator problem- opinions?
Thanks the reply. I will check all the wiring there for breaks.

Re: voltage regulator problem- opinions?
Stop hitting the regulator and start moving the wires when the issues occur.
