Do all rear AD fenders have a slot?
WHen new did the rear AD fenders have a slot that eventually ripped into the rest of the fender from stress and rust? See attachments.

I have 4 fenders and all seem to have a slot and I can't tell if its from original design or a rip under pressure. I want to weld it closed.
