New Project: 1958 Shortie with Utility Bed
Just picked this jewel up, hasn't run in over 20 years but crank still turns over. Missing grill and radiator, looks like everything else is still there. All the doors on the utility bed open and it has a diamond plate bed. Bed looks to be original or awfully close. Plan is to fix cancer rust on both front fenders at the braces and cab corners. Then drive hell out of it! It has a 270 and 3 on the tree.
Built the same year I was born, should be easy to tell folks how old it is! I need a driver's side door with similar paint. At least part of the truck had been blue but was painted over with the seafoam/teal color, that's the color door I'm looking for. I don't plan to repaint, would love to drive it as-is, once the safety issues are taken care of. |
