Post pics of your Soft Tops.

I've been thinking of getting a Soft Top but would like to see some Blazer's/Jimmy's with them installed to get a better Idea of how they work and look.

Re: Post pics of your Soft Tops.

Someone on the Pictures board had a truck with an original Wisco dealer-installed soft top. I'd love to find one of those in the box somewhere!

It's black - exactly like Gary 70 Jimmy posted.

Maybe someone with a Softopper top can help me out on this. I've noticed in some pictures with the top down the top framing that attaches to the windshield frame has not been retracted or put down like the rear frame section. Is this how it stays at all times, top up or down?

Those brackets can be removed in a couple minutes and stored when the top is down, although they are necessary for when the top is up. They serve as a B pillar in that the top is attached to the vertical piece when 'up'

Ok, Cool. I was worried they stayed up at all times, top 'up' or 'down'. I'm glad they can be removed easily if wanted to.

Thanks for the info.

That's a Whitco. They were based in Colorado Springs CO. I guess I'm going to have to break down and have it repaired since I can't find one that's in better condition. The stitching is about gone in some places and the windows are yellowed and cracked, which is why they're rolled up in the pics.

That top is a great piece of K5 history and I hope that you, or someone else, gets to restore it. Beautiful truck BTW.

Re: Post pics of your Soft Tops.

This is my black with tinted windows Kayline/STC soft top. Originally I got a grey one from Kayline and when it stopped being water tight I got the black one. Kayline had just gone under and STC had just started making them, luckily they did not change anything so the new canvas snapped right on. Still use the grey one for the summer the windows are shot and the stitching is coming apart in places but it keeps the son off of my head.

I like the slanted back that the Kayline has. Wish someone would copy that.

I like the look also, but I think it is the reason that the zippers fail.
