Factory spare tire pics?

I have the factory spare tire carrier from 72' 2wd. There are some welds on the base that look weird to me. To me it looks like it's been modified to accept a wider tire. Does anyone have any pics of theirs so that I can confirm this?

Those welded on tabs are not factory. If it were me, I would leave them because removing them may damage the carrier.

Was there variations of this carrier? All the carriers I have seen, didn't have the hole above the slot as well like yours does. Just curious.

I don't know, it came with my 72 Blazer. It's my first Blazer so I've never seen any other carriers.
