66 sfa
Has anyone done a sfa on a 66 c10? I've got a set of 1 tons going under mine and am using 52" springs. Just looking for some direction as to the placement of the leaf springs.

Re: 66 sfa
All GM trucks '87 and earlier came with solid front axles.
I would start with centering your Dana 60 in the front wheel opening, set your springs in place and see where the front hanger needs to be. You might also look into some of the components made by Kert at DIY4x. He makes a 52" conversion for the '67-'72's that should fit your '66 with minimal if any modification. http://www.diy4x.com

Re: 66 sfa
Ok thanks. I've got the springs and everything already and I'm not worried about modification to much because it's just going to be drilling a few holes and maybe use a piece of square tubing off the frame because where the rear hanger lands the frame is at an angle. The modification doesn't worry me to much because this will be cake compared to making the 427 fit in there

Re: 66 sfa
Swing shackles to the rear and if needed tube up front for springs. Or both depending on how much lift you want.

Re: 66 sfa
Installing a big block isn't all that difficult.
