Show Me Your Aftermarket Tach's
Thinking about installing an aftermarket tachometer in the ol 68. Going for the ol school look. It's got a 250 engine with 3 on the tree.
Don't really want to mount it into the dash bezel. Show me pictures of where you mounted yours. Steering column? Dash mount? Thoughts? Thanks Guys As Always.

Re: Show Me Your Aftermarket Tach's
Not a bad idea. Out the way but still visible. The ones with the shift lights are pretty cool.

Re: Show Me Your Aftermarket Tach's
That was my first concern placing it there but no my leg is not close at all. I'm 5"10 and a taller guy might not want it there but it's kind of to the side too so it would likely be ok for most.

Re: Show Me Your Aftermarket Tach's
In case you reconsider installing the tach in the dash. From what I can remember it didn't take alot of work to do. The tach is a Sunpro and the bezel was originally chrome but I painted it to match the rest of the panel.

Re: Show Me Your Aftermarket Tach's
It's a Sunpro Super Tach II. I think the specs say 3 3/8". I measured the face and it is around 3". It was a tight fit but I didn't have to cut the bezel at all. I just cut a hole in the clear plastic lens and the metal piece behind that.
