What kind of realistic power will the big block be producing? What will need changed will also depend on just what you have with your small block. For starters, you will likely need to change the radiator and shroud. Unless the TH350 is built for the increased torque, you might be best off to upgrade to a TH400.

Re: what would I need to go from a small block to a big block

In my 82 I needed:

Radiator/fan/shroud
Engine accessory brackets for BBC
Engine
Throttle cable
TH400 or TH475B with 4" tail shaft
New transmission cooler lines
After market TH400 kickdown switch
Custom Driveshaft with TH 400 yoke to 12 bolt saddle

Once you have all that and a tiny bit of wiring you'll be good to go.

I'm doing a SB to BB swap right now. Why was the throttle cable swap needed? Thanks in advance

Re: what would I need to go from a small block to a big block

First is if you set them side by side the big block cable is about 1" longer. You may not need to on your truck but my big block had a performer style intake. Of course there's also the 30 + yr old factor and nothing ruins your day like either a stuck cable at WOT or no connection at all because it broke.
