Interior ID please 1949-or 195o
This is a interior pic of a 3100 that has had a Nash Air conditioner installed. From the pics included, can someone identify the year for me please.
I am including an exterior shot that was modified. I can't remember if its the same truck or something I was playing with years ago and someone elses truck. |

Get a picture of the body serial number plate in the good jam and you can know what year it is for sure. I can't tell if its a 49 or 50 from those pictures.

The interior pics look to have the same paint and primer as the exterior pic, so I would assume it's the same truck.
Only way to tell the 50 from the 49, is the 50 has tube shocks and and a steel knob on the drivers side cowl vent, 49 has a maroon knob and lever action shocks. |

Re: Interior ID please 1949-or 195o
Thank you both for answers. This truck has been given to me by a friend I was in VietNam with and he is no longer able to take pictures. My hard drive crashed years ago and lost most of the details. What I do remember, he has owned it since 1971. He worked for a Pontiac dealer in Florida in the bodyshop.. At that time, they put a complete Pontiac station wagon drive train under it, gave it an Emron Paint job and he proceeded to drive it to California.
He drove it for a year out there then headed back to Florida The truck had the steering box go bad in Texarcana Arkansas. He parked it and hasn't touched it since. The paint in the pic is how it sits now, I just wiped out the stuff around it trying to identify it. My wife and I are thinking of going to see him, pick up the truck and pulling it home. The engine and tranny is now home to what he calls mud dawbers I think. I have more pics somewhere and will continue to look for them. |

That's the sure fire way to know as long as no one has removed the plate. You never know if anyone has swapped suspension or knobs. This is what mine looks like. Its a 1950 so you can see the H.

Thanks. I will just have to await and see what I get when I get there. Body is sitting on a 1968 Pontiac Station Wagon drive train if I remember right, so none of the original suspension will be there. It really doesn't matter what year it is I guess anyway. Its never going back to all original.
