99 K2500 rear axle hub seal leak

My 99 3/4 ton Suburban has a Corporate 14 bolt rear end. The passenger side rear hub seal leaks, and needs replacing every 2-3 years (along with soaked brake shoes) Is the whole housing assembly bad since the hub seal rides on
it? I also have a whine under power, which goes away on coast, thinking that might be a pinion bearing?

It could be a pinion bearing making the noise. Down shift to 3rd or 2nd. Let off the gas. Does it make the same noise? I pinion bearing will make load when there is any kind of twisted load on the axle, whether it's up or down.

Clean off the spindle where the sequel rides with emery cloth. Get it as clean as you can.

You'd have better luck in the 88-98 section.

How does the surface of the axle tube look where the seal rides? Read THIS POST concerning a possible issue.

Re: 99 K2500 rear axle hub seal leak

The Speedi-Sleeve option looks great. Does the Speedi-Sleeve go by application or size?Is it safe to order that specific part# or should I have it mic'd to ensure the shaft size?
