Re: What headers to use
Is your truck lowered so that you need a shorty or mid length header? Or will regular long tube headers work?

Re: What headers to use
What about a set of the new Ram Horn exhaust manifolds with 2 1/2" Collectors? Available through Speedway, eBay, and others I'm sure. Here's the Speedway link

Re: What headers to use
The Hedman #69260's are designed for the '63-'66 trucks with a small block. You can also use the Hedman #69090's and the Hooker #2452's. Those are designed for later model trucks but will work just fine. The 69260's have 1.5" primary tubes and the 69090 and 2452's have 1.625" primary tubes.

Re: What headers to use
It depends a bit on what driving you do. Drag strip every weekend = long tube. Cruising and listening to tunes = Rams horns. Then all the choices in between.

Re: What headers to use
I've got a set of Thorleys for a BBC. Buddy of mine took them off of his '86 v30 with a 496. They're very well made, tri Y design and worked really well for his truck until he started making over 700hp. He gave me these when he got new custom built ones. I'm going to run them on the L29 FI motor that's going in the '63.
