convert old style staggered valve covers
Does anyone have any good ideas on using the old style corvette staggered hole valve covers on the regular heads?

Re: convert old style staggered valve covers
seems like you could make that work... maybe tap the staggered holes into that, and then use counter sunk bolts on the other holes...
I have the same dilemma I have a pair of 56 Canadian sbc "Pontiac" valve covers, that I want to install on my trans am that has a sbc .

Re: convert old style staggered valve covers
Probably 30 years ago I made up my own adapter plates to adapt the staggered bolt Corvette valve covers to the '86 and earlier bolt pattern. I made them out of 1/8" steel but they should have been 3/16" or 1/4" as they tended to seep oil a little. It would be much easier to make a set now with the technology available.
