1957 Chevy 3100 Pickup

This old gal came with one tail/brake light, any suggestions for an upgrade on the tail/stop lights? I have install the factory cup and switch on the column.
I have tried the small round ones from Bob's, just not bright at all.

I'm thinking about something subtle like the Family Truckster would work.

I am looking for something simple. Not really wanted to do any body work, just drill and mount, LOL
Someone suggested a CJ5 taillight.

Turn signals.....
Way back when these trucks were new, you could do hand signals or buy turn signals.
If you installed the turn signal cup, then you know there's another connector hanging out the bottom of the steering column.
The way the factory did this originally, was to install a secondary harness to that connector that went out the cab and stopped right by the voltage regulator.
When they mated the front fender assembly to the truck, they plugged in the prewired fenders' harness.
The difference here is that the trucks without turn signals got a single contact bulb socket on the parking lights, and the turn signal trucks got a 2 contact parking light.
You can't mix the single contact socket with a two pin socket because the bayonets on the bulbs are staggered for the two contact socket and in line with each other on the single contact bulbs.
So you need different parking lights with two contacts for turn signals with staggered bayonet grooves. the same as the tail light sockets.

I use the large lights like the big trucks & Jeeps use. You can buy them cheap at the swap meets & they are available everywhere. Like Coupe guy says, you can change the front parking lights to double contact sockets. Wire the turn lights switch to the lights & the wire coming off the stop light switch to the turn switch.
