1962 single to dual master cylinder
I'm currently running a single master cylinder in my 62 short/step and want to convert to dual, staying with manual brakes. My question is what do I do about the line going to the clutch? Do I buy a single mc just for the clutch? Also, is there a dual mc I can buy that will bolt right up directly to the factory holes on the firewall left by the stock single mc? I am new to this site and any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Re: 1962 single to dual master cylinder
I didn't plan on using a booster and was wondering if there is a dual mc that would bolt directly in place of the old single mc.

Re: 1962 single to dual master cylinder
So is this the same master cylinder you have? I was planning on replacing it as well.
(sorry pic is really dark)

Yes, I have that same one. Also not sure what to do about the clutch line.

Re: 1962 single to dual master cylinder
Sorry, I guess the links are not working. Just go to the photobucket link in the signature and look for the Doubler pics.

Re: 1962 single to dual master cylinder
I do not know of a dual reservoir master cylinder that will bolt up. I do make a manual brake version of the kit that has provisions for a brake booster and the hydraulic clutch. It is basically just like this one in post #29, except it has the provisions for the hydraulic clutch.
