64 heater control valve

My 64 C10 has a working fan motor and switch, but it looks like it never had the heater control valve that shuts off or turns on the flow of water through the heater core. I don't want to hack up my dash to put in levers. How could a control vale be hooked up? It looks like now all I can do is open and close vents.

Re: 64 heater control valve

i don't think you will need to hack up the dash. it should be a removable plate. then you can install a delux heater control with no cutting.

Re: 64 heater control valve

You can also install a shut off or bypass valve in the heater hoses.
