safety switch wiring
My first post on here from the UK and am looking for help with my wiring. I have a 62 C10 which has recently been imported and it has 91 Chevy running gear and wiring, It wasn't finished when I bought it and the guy I bought it off doesn't know what model Chevy the donor car was.
I am looking to wire up the safety switch, the donor was a column shift and has been changed to a floor shifter. I have found the back up light wires (blue and light green) so now those lights work, on the column, there are two wires right next to them that are black with orange and orange with black. I am assuming they are the safety switch wires, but when I join them the truck still starts. My question is; have I got the right wires (black with orange and orange with black)? Or has anyone got a wiring diagram that has a safety switch on it. Thanks in advance |

Re: safety switch wiring
IF it starts/cranks in gear (assuming its automatic?) then it sounds like the "switch" has been bypassed somewhere else
