Pickup Carpet In A Panel Truck

I am going to be putting carpet in my panel truck and was wondering how far back a truck carpet kit goes? Would it reach the step in the floor?

Re: Pickup Carpet In A Panel Truck

I assume that the back of a cab on a truck is where the small step is in a Panel. Thanks for the pics!

Re: Pickup Carpet In A Panel Truck

No problem. I can take a measurement tonight if needed.

Re: Pickup Carpet In A Panel Truck

I think it will be ok. Worst case is that I have a small strip under the seat that I have to cover with the same carpet that I put in the back.

Thanks again!

Re: Pickup Carpet In A Panel Truck

the back of a truck cab will be right where you can see the rear edge of the rear floor brace in this first pic.

also does your panel have the step on the passenger side like this suburban floor? that might be a problem too.

Re: Pickup Carpet In A Panel Truck

I don't have a picture of the front floor but looking at this one from my panel, I don't think there is the long floor part behind the front seats, since there was never any rear seats and footwell area needed. This pic looks like the rise is right at the back door line. My guess is a truck carpet would fit well.

Re: Pickup Carpet In A Panel Truck

Looking at my cab last night and pics of panel cabs I think you'll be fine with the truck carpet.

Mine goes completely under the gas tank all the way to the back cab wall.

Re: Pickup Carpet In A Panel Truck

Thanks so much for taking the time to check for me! Thats one of the reasons I love this place.

Here are some pics of exactly what I have. Ideally the carpet would go right up to the little 2" step in the floor.

Re: Pickup Carpet In A Panel Truck

Not being a panel guru......I'm guessing the seats bolt in pretty much the same location as the trucks?

If that's the case, then you'll be fine with the truck carpet.

Re: Pickup Carpet In A Panel Truck

Heres another pic for reference. Shows the seat tracks & jack kit in the factory mount location.
