Thinking about a 5.3 in my 93. Any links?
Just thinking about making my 93 a good dependable daily driver with a little extra umph. I thought about putting it in my 85 short bed that I am doing but I like the ride of the 93 and think it would make a fun truck to drive as well. Currently looking at a 00 Z71 with 116,000 miles on it that has been wrecked. Not sure on things like if the 00 truck accessories are fine for the 93 and if it is just pretty much a drop in except for engine mounts. I would probably be looking at just leaving it in stock form with the factory exhaust manifolds and a tune. Just looking for direction. Seems like most of these swaps on this page are for other year body styles. I flipped through about ten pages and really didn't see anything that stood out for this body style.

go check out ls1tech.com, lots of good info on that site.
you'll probably need a right hand high mount bracket for your ac compressor. should be able to use everything else. are you keeping your trans or using a newer 4L60E?

Yea I'd use the high mount bracket for an R4 compressor. A guy in my local club did a 5.3L swap in his b-body wagon, literally just unbolted compressor and set to the side without breaking the lines open, and then put it on the 5.3L once in the car and done, ice cold AC retained.

I did a 5.3 swap in a 90 pickup ,used the holley a/c brackets and stock manifolds runs way better than the old 350 and was able to make all the stock gauges work
