1966 K20 acc step question

My buddy has purchased a 1966 K20 pickup and is wondering if Chevrolet ever offer any acc. side steps to ease getting into the cab. When he gets it home I will share pics. One owner, 65K original miles, factory winch etc.

Some one on here had a camper with a step that came out when you opened the door. I don't know if it was a factory option but it was really old. Mechanical not electric. I don't remember what thread it was in though. Maybe someone else remembers and can chime in.
