Different isn't always pretty or more valuable.

Re: CL this is different, not mine
Very cool. I'm sure it's maybe a one off deal for a private school maybe but very cool if it was done right.

Re: CL this is different, not mine
Buy this and you're definitely not going to see your car driving in the next lane. This is about as unique as they get. But I kind of like it. I probably wouldn't have minded driving something like that when all my children were young.

Re: CL this is different, not mine
I too have seen those on the board before. IIRC they were done by a conversion company back in the day. This one is especially unique if it was a 4x4 from the factory, I am sure most of these were 2wd's. It's a rare bird. Does it have tow hooks? It looks like there might be some on the rear.

Re: CL this is different, not mine
I have never seen one done just like that before. I think it's totally cool. I'd run it. I would have to give it a traditional bus paint job..."Suburban School District"

Re: CL this is different, not mine
Different for sure. Really Odd Duck. Not sure if it could be made to look cool or not. Like my dually short bed I'm building, not going to see another one like it at a car show/cruise. Ever.

Re: CL this is different, not mine
I recall having been picked up in a Suburban school bus probably in the early 70's. It was a replacement bus, not the regular one.
Sadly, no pictures of it. Bill |
