Starting engine without O2 sensors connected

I'm finishing up a few last things to be able to try and start the engine up for the first time. I went to hook up my O2 sensors and the BP Automotive harness has different connections than my sensors do. I've sent him a message but haven't gotten a responce yet and haven't had time to give him a call yet. Can I start the engine without them and just let it idle?

I test drove mine without them installed. No exhaust at all just headers....

I dont believe they are going to be used during the "warm up" on initial start so yes you will be ok.

Re: Starting engine without O2 sensors connected

John @ speartech told me not to use the 02 sensors until I had a full exhaust. Something along the lines that it will be reading too much of the air and not whats coming out of the headers.
I put a few miles on mine with open headers & the 02 sensors hooked up. My passenger sensor went bad shortly afterwards, not sure if that was the reason or not.

Re: Starting engine without O2 sensors connected

Thanks guys. I just ordered a set of the Bosch 13026 sensors with the connections I needed. The bad news is it looks like I won't be able to start it till this coming Tuesday. I can't find anyone with the plug wires I'm looking for (Taylor 409 Race-Fit Pro Race Spark Plug Wires 79614) that can have them here before then.
