Power Glide ?????
Will 3.08 gears work OK with my 64 power glide??? Its just a driver, don't pull anything with it.. Would put my 70 mph about 2500 rpm......

That's what mine has. I wanted 5-lug & better gearing for the highway until I bolt up a 700R-4 someday, so we swapped in a '72 Chevy truck rear with that gear ratio. Like you, I just wanted a cruiser. I haven't done much driving with that setup, as we tore the truck down for a front end rebuild shortly afterward. I did have a chance to do a little highway driving though, & it was definitely a noticeable difference compared to the factory rear end with 3.73's

My 65 Impala 327/Glide has stock 3:08s. Drives great, no problem on the highway at 70.
