to paint or not to paint the air box

I am working on my frame off and I was wondering if I should paint the air box for the heater? I cleaned it real good, but it is kind of grey and you can see the fibers. your thoughts. It looks clean, but grey

I would spray it a satin black or gray. Not gloss.

Re: to paint or not to paint the air box

What do you guys think about spraying the air conditioner pipes? Not putting air on. At least for now. Or leave them aluminum?

If you're going to that level, I wouldn't paint them. I've seen where guys went over them with some metal polish and they looked great. You don't have to make them look like chrome, just brighten them up some.

Polish the aluminum with Simichrome. It will look like chrome.
