Radiator mounting clamps, can't remember how they go (picture)

Does the clamp at that ridge go OVER the fan shroud? how and where does that clip go I have the small black bolt that goes into it but if someone could tell in detail how it goes I would appreciate it however I change it around doesn't seem to fit like it should.

I know the rubber grommet in the clamp sits on the ridge of the radiator but the question is that small clip on the clamp and which side of the plastic shroud and how it fits etc is the info I need.

looked for pictures none are clear enough on the net to tell by. on a 1987. thanks

The bracket you are holding bolts to the rad cradle, and over the top of the radiator tank seam. The shroud then gets bolted to the bracket with the extremely course thread screw, aka "wood" screw.

thanks. found this issue lol

I was thinking the lip of the shroud came OVER the core support which it does not thats why nothing was doing quiet right.
