Big disc swap from factory disc.
Hey guys,
been searching high/low for a 13" front disc conversion for my C-10 It already has factory 5 lug disc, just want something bigger since I now have 18" rims. Thanks |

i'm going to tailgate off this thread since it's hanging out there...
i've been researching big brake upgrades for the suburban's and i'm curious to the performance and daily benefits to a 13"/14" Baer or Wilwood system over a more basic 12-13" system with factory calipers and parts for these heavy ass trucks anybody have any thoughts |

Well not exactly. The contact area is dictated by the pads. What larger rotors have is more surface area to dissipate heat and more important, leverage. The downside is in most cases you increase unsprung weight, which can effect ride quality.
