Brian, Is the bumper and winch that is pictured on your
Suburban the one your selling?
What are the hydraulic pump and motor for? Isn't the winch
completly mechanical because it is PTO driven? -Craig

Yup that is the one. I used a chain drive from the hydraulic motor to the winch. The only thing that has changed is the grill guard is no longer on the bumper as it was in that picture. Hopefully i will have some more pictures tomorrow.

Brian, If I'm understanding right the PTO out of the transfer
case was running a hydraulic pump, which in turn ran a
hydraulic motor, which was connected by chain drive to the
winch. Your saying the hydraulic pump and motor are bad.
Is it possible to connect the winch directly to the PTO shaft
and make the set up completly mechanical? Also in the picture
of the winch it looked like it was leaking gear oil where the
chain sprocket enters the gear box.
Thanks, Craig

Yes you could make it completely mechanical but routing the pto shaft might be dificult. The leaking oil is not from the shaft seal but from the gasket that seals the end cap housing. It did not leak until i overfilled the winch after i removed the bumper. All it would need is to be resealed on that cap. I replaced the shaft seals last year when i got the winch. Any other questions feel free to email me too bjmentch@mtu.edu Thanks

This set up is now on e-bay!
