any advantage

I have a 68 and want to put dropped spindles and disc brakes on, some kits offer 73 to 87 spindles. Is there an advantage to the 73 to 87 spindles?

Re: any advantage

Spindles are the same except for the ball joint and tie rod taper. If you are not planning to go to the later a arms with the rubber bushings then just order the ones to fit your truck.
