shortened hubs
I have a 71 4wd blazer and saw a picture of a blazer with shorter hubs on the front. I have a dana 44 which im sure most of yas do too. This truck had a dana 44. how do you get shorter hubs so it doesnt stick out so much?

The picture you saw might have been of a newer Dana 44 with internal hubs. Your Dana 44 might be an older version that was swapped in, with external hubs, which are longer. The truck in the picture might also be running a wider rim, which would make the hub look like it is shorter.

You just need to swap out the entire hub housing. The housing contains the hub, wheelbearings, and has the brake rotor pressed onto it. Should be very easy to do, and Dana 44 internal hub housings are a dime a dozen. I'm not sure, but I believe the outer axle stub shafts need to be swapped too because the external hub stub shafts are a tad longer than the internal hub stub shafts.
