Iginition Switch Illumination?
On a stock 58-59 Chevrolet truck, can anyone tell me if the ignition switch dial (the plastic piece behind the ignition switch bezel that is marked OFF, ON, START) is supposed to be illuminated or back lighted when the lights are on? My switch has provisions for a bulb (which works) but all it illuminates is the key hole when the lights activated. Is this proper or should the dial show the positions OFF – ON - START in a “back lighted” appearance? As a side note, my truck is a six cylinder that was converted to “key start” rather than the “stomp starter”. I assume (and you know what happens when you assume) it is a V-8 switch. Thanks for your help in advance. Gary.

Re: Iginition Switch Illumination?
As far as I know only the key hole is illuminated.
