Too good to be true/scam?
I came across a truck on Oodle that looked to be a heck of a buy. That led to Farmads (El Paso) and a bunch of trucks priced extremely well.
Phone number dosent work and the number on this persons advertisers page is incomplete. Check it out http://m.farmingads.com/view-trader/astmocar/18650 |

Looks like the phone is a Skipe for business number.
Either way, I had to get off that website before I end up homeless after the wife kicks me out. That big block SWB 67 has me ready to buy!!!! |

Re: Too good to be true/scam?
A scam seller will list a car as being held abroad and offer to ship it to your country. The seller will re-assure you that you make your payment to the shipping company only after car has left his possession and you have tracking number. They will even give you a web link for said company so you can check it out. These fake shipping company pages have been set up as part of the scam.
You send your money to the "shipping company" and never see it again, and there never was a vehicle. I had pictures of my own car turn up in one of these scams (a car I had previously sold on eBay, where they likely harvest the photos). The one to watch for as a SELLER, since I'm on the topic, is when you list a vehicle for sale. Bob offers to buy it for $5K. But he owes $2K to a friend in Texas. So he'll send you a $7K cashier's check, you wire $2K to his buddy, and you get the truck. Then of course the cashier's check bounces (yes, they can bounce when they're fake or altered). Can't believe people fell for that one but thousands have.

Re: Too good to be true/scam?
That 1970 blue chevy just sold on ebay for $14,500, I still have it on watch list. Buyer beware this is a scam.
