Re: transfer case id
The pictures attached are of the 241C I rebuilt. it is from a 91 Suburban. it is connected to a 2008 4L60E. it has a 6 bolt adapter to connect the TC to the Transmission. The 91' TC has a VSS sensor on the tailshaft output. I think the 89/90 and earlier did not.
The 700R4 I think is a 4 bolt flange. So if you have the correct mount you should be fine and yes it should be 27 spline.

Re: transfer case id
First c10 think I could get a little more info on your t case setup? I picked up a w style crossmember,do they need the spacers to bolt to the frame? Also I notice a rod that goes from transfer case to somewhere else. From what I've heard its a support bar am I correct? Does the case need any other kind of support? Thank you in advance

It is a 2008 4.8 with 4l60e trans. It has a 1991 241c t case attached to it. I used the cross member from the 1991 and the support rod. I had to lower the crossmember with 1" spacers to get my angles correct. I am responding from my phone so hope it makes sense.

Re: transfer case id
got another great question. my k5 has a 4 inch lift. should I do a slip joint eliminator on the NP241 I'm going to install? my stock 203 has it.I don't do no crazy 4 wheeling. just a few trailers here and there and the snow when we get it LOL

Re: transfer case id
I didn't bother since I was not going to be rock crawling. But I am not the expert on them. Also for some reason I remember something about them not making an eliminator for the 241. But maybe I am mistaken. I guess it would be worth it only if it is a benefit for your applications and uses.

Re: transfer case id
They make one, but don't think it's needed for what you wanna do. If you have a lot of lift, do some hardcore wheeling then it might be advisable.

Re: transfer case id
Rear of the tc is the VSS. The other is up towards the shifter. It is the 4x4 indicator. It closes a contact when you are in 4wd.

Re: transfer case id
Funny after I posted it I started to read a post you had replied on. I'm running a 4l60e and I'm probably going to gave to do what you did with the sensor
