What shocks for a 4/6 drop
I'm in the process of lowering my 69 c10 and using the 4/6 spring kit from hotchkis, what shocks do I need for this? Also in the rear I will be adding a 2" lowering block as well

Also will I “need" an adjustable track bar as well on the rear?

Re: What shocks for a 4/6 drop
I have a 4/7 on my leaf spring flip and I ran front shocks all around. KYB G2 from Rock Auto. I re-drilled the upper mount to get the shock a little more vertical. Can't help on track bar as I don't have one.

Re: What shocks for a 4/6 drop
Thanks for the reply! Ok I will check those out, I finished up with installing the front springs tonight, and noticed with the truck jacked up on the frame and suspension is at full droop the new springs are loose/wiggle around when the control arms fall down. Is this normal with lowering springs? Again I just have oem shocks on the truck. I hope this isn't a dumb question, just want to make sure everything is correct. Would shorter drop shocks help with controlling th droop not be as far?

Re: What shocks for a 4/6 drop
Yes, it's normal. That's how the truck gets lower is the spring is much shorter. I would search for "lowering shocks" on the top of the page. Type in the bar and just the button for 67-72chevytrucks.com as I would hate to steer you wrong on the rear shocks for a coil sprung truck.
But with 2 1/2" spindles and 2" lowering springs, stock shocks on my truck work fine.
