New to the forum and I thought I would share my recent find.

I live in Texas but have been working in Canada and I came across a documented 64 K10 for sale by the original owner.

The trucks is pretty much all original except for the usual maintenance items. Everything on the truck works and it drives and stops as it should.

I cleaned the truck up and added some new wheels and tires. (Still have the stock tires and split rims) Not sure what else I will be doing to it, but the first task will be getting home to Texas.

The truck is Canadian built and I purchased the build information from the GM heritage center in Canada.

Options are as follows: K1404 4wd Shortbox Stepside
C10 Windshield washer, C42 HD Heater w/defroster, D20 Passenger side sunshade, F76 Locking Hubs (Dana), L25 292 6cyl, M20 Transmission, Q16 15 x 5.5 Kelsey 6 stud and X09 Speedo adapter

I will post some pictures...thanks and really enjoy the information on the forum.

I remember when Canada converted to metric..(kilometers)When I started school we had MPH and gallons of gas etc, but that changed when I was in grade 3 or 4..to metric....Probably like 1970...after this truck was built..No wonder I am so screwed up...

Welcome to the forum

That's a nice find. Your truck looks like a brother to my '66 K10, an orange short stepside.

I'm thinking being Canadian built should make it a little more rare than even a US built truck.

Re: New Member

Welcome to the best resource you will find for you and the truck.

This really is a great find and a good looking truck.

I agree with you, the truck needs very little else but to be driven and enjoyed.

Thanks

Thanks...the truck color is Cardinal Red, but faded. The documentation from GM Heritage Center states that is is 1 of 80 delivered in Canada.

Tires are Goodyear Wrangler Pro Guards 33 x 12.5's

The truck looks a little better in the pictures than in real life. It does have some rust in the usual areas, but overall not too bad.

Thanks

Re: New Member

Very nice truck. Looks like a nice solid original to start with. Always a score to find an unmolested original example like that. Its a plus you have the history on it as well.

Good luck with your project.
