1966 GMC drop

OK, I've been all over the forum looking and can't find an answer. This isn't my first rodeo as far as lowering something.
I found a flip kit that is supposed to work on my truck.

How much of a drop is typical of a flip?

Has anyone ever used 4 or 5 inch front drop springs?

I want about 4 or5 front and 5-6 rear. Im not using drop spindles yet. I will when I can afford to do the disc conversion. Im a single dad raising two kids and have to buy a house. So $$$$ is tight.

Thanks for any help.

Re: 1966 GMC drop

My 66 gmc is lowered on cut springs and a flip kit the flip kit will drop it pretty low I think it comes out to be the thickness of the springs plus half the axles height or something like that around 5 inches. I just went to tractor supply and bought 2 weld on tailer axle spring pads and set my rear above the springs set the pinion angle and burnt them on. Only cost like 14 bucks to lower the whole truck.

I should note don't take more than 1.5 loops off the coils it'll get it down around 3.5 inches depending on how much your springs have sagged over the years. I'd start with 1 loop and then cut a 1/4 at a time just to make sure you don't cut to much.
