65 GMC has no turn signals
When I first got my 65 GMC the turn signals worked from time to time on one side and not at all on the other. Now I got nothing. Is it safe to assume its time to replace the guts in the steering column? Or is there somewhere else to look? If its time to pull apart the steering column bits - what is the preferred source for parts - don't mind paying for the better/best stuff.

Re: 65 GMC has no turn signals
Check the fuse first then work back from there would be my recommendation. Classicparts sells a new harness/switch if the columns pieces are broken.

Re: 65 GMC has no turn signals
Fuse is good. I am fairly certain its something in a component down the line from that. The harness seems fine. The truck has an almost perfect harness all around. If I take apart the column what should I replace?

Re: 65 GMC has no turn signals
If you have a test light it is pretty easy to figure out.
I just fixed mine tonight on my 66 GMC. I replaced the guts in the column and had a bad ground issue with the rear lights.

Re: 65 GMC has no turn signals
Yeah I need to test light around. Its odd that they don't do a thing. I also can't get power to the front hood lights.
