Re: 1990 crew cab
Hi there, I never worked on a 1990, but worked on alot of older ones. Sounds like you are describing a coolant temperature sending unit. Strange you have two, but than again the older ones only had one. It's mounted closer to the front of the drivers side head.

Yep should have one in the front side of the drivers head that is for the gauge in the dash and one in the front of the intake manifold tells the ECM the engine temp.

Re: 1990 crew cab
Hi There, I'm pretty sure you need a TS253T sensor. Get the parts guy to show you this one.

Re: 1990 crew cab
One is called the CTS or Coolant temp sensor for the ECM and the one for the gauge is called the Sender

Re: 1990 crew cab
Looks like ROCK AUTO shows 2 types for a 350...
one has a spade connector, the other a plastic connector... Take a look here and see if these look right! http://www.rockauto.com/en/catalog/c...+/+sensor,4748

Re: 1990 crew cab
If it is a 454 will have a third one on RH head that is for the cooling fan in front of condenser!
