Gas pedal rod difference

Is there a difference between the gas pedal rod that goes from the pedal through the firewall between inline six and v8?

This is the rod I'm talking about its for a v8 and doesn't work with the inline 6 I put in the truck.

Re: Gas pedal rod difference

When I changed 6 to v8 I just found some rod, bent it to fit, and threaded one end, IIRC.
Perhaps you could trim and rethread, or swap (more people switching to v8 than 6.
Also, someone has a thread on how to switch to cable, but I cant remember name.

Re: Gas pedal rod difference

The rod I'm talking about isn't threaded. It goes through the firewall to the pedal.

Re: Gas pedal rod difference

V8 & 6cyl. both use the same rod attached to pedal, only the rod connecting pedal rod to carb. linkage is different.
